Due to the Mandalay earthquake that struck on 28 March 2025, damages were reported in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, Magway Region, Shan State, and Bago Region. Domestic and international donors and philanthropists have provided humanitarian assistance, including essential supplies and medicines, and an official announcement regarding these support activities from 21 to 27 April has been released.

From 28 April to 4 May, the tents, sleeping bags, foodstuffs, electronic devices, commodities, and medicines provided by India, China and Malaysia were handed over to the Healthcare Work Committee (Ministry of Health), and are being distributed to Nay Pyi Taw and Shan State depending on the number of victims. Among 30,000 tonnes of diesel, 20,000 tonnes of petrol, 4,500 prefabricated houses and 500 prefabricated offices donated by China, 18,000 tonnes of diesel and 340 prefabricated offices arrived at Thilawa port on 2 May, and 18,000 tonnes of diesel is kept at Thilawa Terminal and will be used in rehabilitation processes.

On 4 May, 340 prefabricated offices which arrived in Nay Pyi Taw and were distributed to different ministries, and they will be used as temporary offices of departments and organizations.

The donated items received within one week are distributed to the quake survivors and staff in Nay Pyi Taw under the arrangement of Nay Pyi Taw Council and relevant ministries, and relevant governments in Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region and Shan State.

To date, 56 vehicles loaded with relief materials have been distributed to Mandalay Region, while 28 to Sagaing Region and eight to Shan State (South).

The inventory of distribution of donated items by the international donors from 28 April to 4 May is mentioned in the separate spreadsheets. The distribution processes will be released once a week.
