DUE to the powerful earthquake that struck several regions of Myanmar on 28 March 2025, there have reports of damage and casualties, especially in areas close to the epicentre. Many people, including government employees, affected by the disaster, are now in urgent need of assistance.

As part of the humanitarian response and to support the victims, the Yunnan Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation from Yunnan Province, China, donated emergency medical supplies worth 658,320 yuan to assist those affected by the earthquake in Myanmar.

These relief supplies were transported from Kunming, China, to Yangon, Myanmar, arriving on 20 April. Responsible personnel of the China-Myanmar Cooperation and Communications Centre handed over the medical supplies to the Ministry of Health.
