In his remarks, the Union minister extended best wishes to the council by expressing confidence that the council members having strong experiences and maturity, would be able to work effectively to develop the media sector. He continued that it is important to consider the current practical situation and both domestic and international political situations to ensure the work is effective while serving the duties.

He added that the influence of the media significantly impacts daily life, and actions are being taken against the publishing of obscene literature. Therefore, the prosecution against these publishing is a preventive measure from poisonous literature for the country and people. Similarly, action is taken against obscene music videos.

The council can perform duty freely in line with the law and needs to oppose the destructive actions of terrorists and firmly stand with the public in media means.
