ON 30 March, authorities seized 0.813 tonne of illegal teak valued at K92,500 in Ingapu township. This enforcement was conduct­ed under the Forest Law.

On 31 March, combined teams overseen by the Manda­lay Region Illegal Trade Eradi­cation Special Task Force con­fiscated a Nissan fuel bowser (approximately valued at K55 million) carrying 400 gallons of illegal diesel, valued at K4.455 million, at the Shwegyin com­bined checkpoint. The action was taken under Customs pro­cedures.

During inspections on 1 April, the combined team con­fiscated an unregistered Toyota Probox car (approximately val­ued at K4.2 million) in Dawei township, an unregistered Hon­da Wave motorbike (estimated value of K500,000) in Bokpyin township, and illegal timber weighing 19.76 tonnes, worth K4.414 million, in Myeik district. The action was taken under the Export and Import Law and the Forest Law.

Additionally, on 1 April, an unregistered Kenbo 125 mo­torbike valued at K250,000 was seized in Taze township. The action was carried out under the Export and Import Law.

The Illegal Trade Eradi­cation Steering Committee re­ported that eight arrests were made over three consecutive days from 30 March to 1 April, with an estimated value of K68.9 million.
