AS part of marking the Myan­mar-China friendly ties, the Silk Road from the Heart: Care for the Future and Myanmar-China friendly culture and education exchange took place at Myan­mar International Education Centre at Myanmar Sports Ho­tel in Thingangyun Township, Yangon, yesterday.

Secretary of China Founda­tion for Peace and Development Mr Xu Jian Guo and Chairman of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) Patron of Myanmar-China Cooperation Centre Union Auditor-General (Retired) U Tin Oo delivered speeches.

Mrs Qiao li from the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar discussed Myanmar-China friendship coop­eration, Yangon Region Educa­tion Officer Daw Cho Cho Myat Aung, cooperation in education and Chair of Nay Oke Foundation U Nay Oke, social cooperation.

On behalf of the China Foundation for Peace and De­velopment and the Myanmar Chinese Cooperation & Com­munication Centre, Secretary Mr Xu Jian Guo donated sta­tioneries, LED bulbs, sports equipment and accessories worth K10 million for Swe Myo Pauk Phaw magazine to offi­cials, who returned certificates of honour.

Senior President of Myan­mar China Cooperation Cen­tre U Thit Sa (aka) Mr Li Bo Bo presented certificates of honour to volunteers from the Yangon University of Foreign Languages.

As the year 2024 is set as the China-ASEAN cultural exchange year, the China-My­anmar cooperation especially aims for the benefits of the My­anmar people and exchange of education and culture between the two countries and people and enhancement of stability and improvement of bilateral relations between two coun­tries.
