A coordination meeting on the development of Strategic Plans for the implementation of ASEAN Community Vision 2045 among rel­evant ministries of three ASEAN Community Pillars was held yes­terday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw. The meeting was led by Dr Wah Wah Maung, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Eco­nomic Relations and the Eminent Person (EP) of Myanmar for the High-Level Task Force on ASE­AN Community’s Post-2025 Vision (HLTF-ACV) and attended by di­rectors-general and high-ranking officials from respective minis­tries.

During the meeting, the depu­ty minister explained the progress and way forward on the develop­ment of ASEAN Political and Secu­rity Community strategic plan and its template for the implementa­tion of ASEAN Community Vision (2045) including the finalization of the ASEAN Community Vision (2045) at the 10th meeting of the High-Level Task Force on ASE­AN Community’s Post-2025 Vision (HLTF-ACV), under the theme of “Resilient, Innovation, Dynamic and People-Centred ASEAN”. The deputy minister encouraged the other respective pillars such as ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and ASEAN Socio-cultur­al Community (ASCC) to close­ly coordinate with the relevant sectoral bodies under each pillar on the development of respective strategic plans. She also shared her insights on the proposed action lines of the draft strategic plan of ASEAN Political and Security Community and stressed the im­portance of providing inputs to the draft action lines in line with our Core National interests.

At the meeting, the proposed action lines under the strategic goals of the ASEAN Political and Security Community Strategic Plan were thoroughly discussed among the participants and ex­changed their views in an open and candid manner. The Repre­sentatives from the AEC and ASCC Pillars also clarified their works so far on the development of the rele­vant strategic plans for the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.
