A relief flight of Air India landed at the Yangon International Airport yesterday evening, bringing 54 Myanmar nationals who were stranded in India while All Nippon Airways (ANA) relief flight brought 169 Myanmar citizens from Japan.

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports, and local officials helped the returnees for health inspections and arranged for 21-day quarantine.

To bring back the Myanmar citizens who are stranded in foreign countries in relief flight and chartered flight in accordance with the instructions of National-Level Central Committee on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective countries.
