A total of 271 civil servants, family members and displaced residents have returned to Tonzang Township after temporarily relocating due to recent security developments, according to officials.

The group, comprising 221 civil servants and 50 residents, travelled from Kalay on 17 June, arrived in Tiddim on 18 June, and continued to Tonzang by convoy. The returnees were warmly welcomed in Tiddim by officials from the Chin State Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committee and relevant departments.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Committee has delivered relief and reconstruction supplies to townships in Chin State. The aid includes cooking oil, rice, cement, corrugated iron sheets, nails and sawn timber.
