MALICIOUS media outlets are spreading false news alleging that security forces are forcibly rounding up people in towns and villages, arresting them, and releasing those who pay bribes. Consequently, State-owned media outlets are releasing statements countering these false claims.

To ensure the safety and freedom of movement for people in their daily lives, security forces, Myanmar police force members, and administrative officials are conducting checks for any unfamiliar individuals in households across townships and villages.

During these checks, individuals found residing in a house without informing the relevant authorities, those not listed on household registers, and those unable to produce valid household lists are summoned to the police station and relevant departments for inspection. Those found in violation of regulations will face legal action.

Reports indicate that certain media outlets, aiming to disrupt public socioeconomic life and peace, are fabricating and spreading false news. They intend to incite panic and create misunderstanding regarding the actions of security forces.
