Actress Phyu Phyu Htwe’s family went to Kyaukse Township on 4 April to donate food and supplies valued at K50 million to local people impacted by the recent earthquake, according to the actress.
This marks the second donation of food, supplies, and cash, with K500,000 being donated this time to each of 50 families whose children died in the collapse of a pre-primary school.
“Seeing the mothers of the children who died in the pre-primary school collapse made me cry because I couldn’t personally feel their loss,” said actress Phyu Phyu Htwe.
Actress Phyu Phyu Htwe allocated K10 million of her acting fees to earthquake victims, and other donors joined her charity efforts. Her first trip was to Mandalay Region, followed by a second to Sagaing Region, where she donated items worth over K50 million, including toothbrushes, instant noodles, cold coffee, canned fish, various types of noodles, crackers, fried potatoes, and clean water.
