DAW KHIN KYI Foundation, chaired by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, was established with six members in 2013, and since January, and it is found that from January 2013 to January 2021, US$7,900,647.71 (over US$7.9 million) had flowed into the foundation’s three foreign currency accounts with the donations from foreign NGOs and INGOs including US1.5 million (over 900,000 Pound sterling) from RBC Trustees (UK) from England, and over US$ 1.5 million (22 million yuan) from Yunnan International Non-Government Organization (YINGOs) of China, and the donations from companies and private donors including the Suu Foundation in the US, Mongolia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Turkey, Singapore, India, New Zealand and Taiwan. Over US$6.8 million have been withdrawn, and over US$1 million is kept saving.

In the announcement of the Union Election Commission released on 5 February 2021, it said, “The Union Election Commission has begun its investigation on the voting fraud in the 2020 General Election. Therefore, the letters of accreditation issued by the Union Election Commission to the MPs of the respective Hluttaws will have no effects during the investigation period.” Moreover, it is found that those who do not complete taking oath according to Section 125 of the Constitution, Pyithu Hluttaw Rule 5 and Amyotha Hluttaw Rule 5 are not deemed as Hluttaw MPs.

The State of Emergency was declared in accord with Section 417 of the Constitution, and the legislative, executive and judicial powers of the State were handed over to the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services. In accordance with sub-section (b) of Section 418 of the Constitution, the members appointed with the approvals of respective Hluttaws were already suspended from their duties from the date of transfer of powers, and the new Union Election Commission was formed according to Section 419 of the Constitution.
