UNDER Section 25 of the Political Parties Registration Law, Rakhine State National United Party, the People’s Pioneer Party, and Mon Unity Party which are desirous of organizing political parties yesterday applied to Union Election Commission for permission to establish political parties under the law and rules.

To date, six parties have applied under Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law and 20 parties under Section 25 of the Political Parties Registration Law, totalling 26. Among these 26 parties, six parties will organize in the entire union and 20 parties only within a region or state.

Union Election Commission continues verifying the right to establish and register these parties.
