THE Union Election Commis­sion reported on the production of the Myanmar Electronic Vot­ing Machine (MEVM) to State Administration Council Chair­man Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the SAC Chairman office meeting hall yesterday evening.

The Senior General heard the reports together with SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, SAC Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, SAC Joint Sec­retary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, SAC members General Mya Tun Oo, Admiral Tin Aung San and Lt- Gen Soe Htut, UEC Chairman U Thein Soe and officials.

First, a UEC official ex­plained the control unit, balloting unit-main, extension, verification unit, the ballot box and batter­ies, machines and aims of using, suggestions and preparations to produce large numbers of such machines.

Then, the Senior General and party inspected the test run of the MEVM and instructed the necessary things.
