MYANMAR’S COVID-19 positive cases rose to 615,221 after 104 new cases — 8 imported and 96 local transmission — were reported on 31 August 2022 according to the Ministry of Health. Among these confirmed cases, 593,615 have been discharged from hospitals. Death toll reached 19,438 after one died.

COVID-19 vaccine is being injected to those of priority groups in regions and states for prevention and control of the disease. Up to 30-8-2022, a total of 30,377,985 people above 18 and a total of 6,398,728 people under 18 have been vaccinated.
