THE Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee was set to implement the youth affairs policy adopted by the government with the aim of turning out youths to become good and able sons for serving the interests of the State.

The central committee will implement the youth affairs mentioned in the youth affairs policy and the national level strategic plan and analyze discussions and decisions from the region and state committees including the Nay Pyi Taw Council committee.

Moreover, the government has already formed the Myanmar Youth Affairs Work Committee with the aim of contributing to tasks of the Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee with momentum and submitting the undertakings of Nay Pyi Taw Council/region/ state youth affairs committees to the central committee.

As such, the government set the duties and functions of the working committee to coordinate youth affairs between Union ministries, between the Union government and Nay Pyi Taw Council/region and state governments and between social organizations and youths under the work procedures.

The government emphasizes the enhancement of physical and mental qualifications of youths to have greater steps for improving themselves in their younghood. The Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs arranges for Myanmar youths to grasp chances of joining the friendly relations and cooperation among youths of the ASEAN region so as to secure international experiences.

Likewise, arrangements should be made for youths to have knowledge and skills in all arenas such as language, techniques, sports, debate, culture and international affairs in order to keep abreast of the youths from other global countries. These skills and knowledge will contribute much to Myanmar youths if they unexpectedly meet with the youths from other countries for various reasons or official assignments.

The United Nations designates the International Youth Day (IYD) on 12 August 2022 as an opportunity for governments and peoples to draw attention to youth issues worldwide to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth from all over the world.

Now is the time to nurture the Myanmar youths including all young people from various areas of the country with firm visions and pledges to turn out well-versed or qualified youths so as to lead the nation as well as the whole world in the future. So, all youths of Myanmar need to try their best in all sectors so as to thumb up in all competitiveness with great victories.
