DRUGS were seized in Myeik and Muse townships as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.

A motorcycle driven by Min Tun was stopped and inspected by a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force at the BOC Street of Myeik (South) Ward in Myeik at 2:30 pm on 30 June and 1,200 stimulant tablets were found. Drug dealer Zaw Win was also arrested at 3:25 pm at his house, located in the Ahlelkyun Ward, Myeik Township in further investigation.

Similarly, a coordinated team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force inspected a house of Win Naing Lin in Kalwin Village of Myeik Township and seized 4,000 stimulant tablets at 4:30 pm. The team also arrested Soe Ko Ko (aka) Gaung Gyi who is connected to the suspect, at his house in the Kangyi Ward, Myeik Township, together with 2,400 stimulant pills and 0.1 kilogramme of marijuana at 5:30 pm.

On 1 July, 36,000 stimulant tablets were confiscated from a motorcycle driven by Khun Aung (aka) Mar Aung by a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, while performing inspections on the circular road of Kaumgnutone Ward in Muse Township.

The MPF stated that the suspects are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
