THE Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development will provide loans to the cooperative society members as well as rice farmers for the socio-economic development of the rural people, said Union Minister U Hla Moe.

The Union Minister made the remarks during a meeting with local farmers, and cooperative society members from Taungsun and West Daungyap villages at Munaing Village Hall in Chaungzon Township yesterday morning.

“Our Ministry is concerned about the problems of rice co operative societies and rice farmers. We are assisting their needs as much as possible. Any business needs to be constantly monitored,” the Union Minister said.

He added that farmers will also be able to form new cooperative societies to benefit those who actually do business.

Yesterday morning, the Union Minister and party visited the Weaving and Vocational Training School in Mudon Township.

Afterwards, the Minister and party met with local people and members of the Green Emerald Project and discussed agriculture, livestock and trade activities are monitored.

Then, he went to Thanban Village, Hlaingbwe Township and provided fertilizers to the cooperative society member farmers and fulfilled their needs.
