THE 48th Inter-State/Region Boxing Championship Finals and Awards Ceremony was held at the Boxing Training Ground at Wunna Theikdi Stadium yesterday afternoon.
The ceremony was attended by Members of the State Administration Council: Daw Aye Nu Sein, Jeng Phang Naw Taung; U Maung Har, U Sai Lone Hsai, Saw Daniel, Dr Banyar Aung Moe and U Shwe Kyein, and Union Ministers: U Chitt Naing, U Ko Ko, Dr Charlie Than, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, U Min Thein Zan, Dr Thet Thet Khine and Dr Htay Aung, and Deputy Ministers: Daw Than Than Lin, U Than Aung Kyaw, U San Lwin, U Aye Tun, Dr Zaw Myint, U Myo Hlaing, U Zaw Aye Maung, directors-general, President of the Boxing Federation U Kyaw Kyaw Soe, and sports enthusiasts.
In yesterday’s finals, Lamin Ko Ko (Yangon Region) defeated Aye Ko Zin (Kayin State) in the men’s 52-kg; Aung Soe Moe (Mandalay Region) defeated Zwe Wai Hlyan Phyo (Nay Pyi Taw) in the men’s 64-kg; In the men’s 69-kg, Kyaw Swa Tun (Mandalay Region) defeated Thet Wai (Kayin State); In the men’s 75-kg, Aung Thu (Mandalay Region) defeated Saw Galel Htun (Kayin State); In the women’s 45-kg, Myint Yadana San (Taninthayi Region) defeated Thang Nwan Keim (Mandalay Region); In the women’s 48-kg, Thin Thin Khaing (Magway Region) defeated Pan Ei Phyu (Sagaing Region); In the women’s 57-kg, Htet Htet Win (Taninthayi Region) defeated Pyae Pyae Win (Sagaing Region); In the women’s 60-kg, Mu Sein Mya (Shan State) defeated Hnin Thiri San (Mon State).
The award-giving ceremony was held after the competition, and the Union ministers and the members of the State Administration Council presented the winners with medals and cash awards.
