DEPUTY Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe met departmental officials, village committee members, officials from cooperative societies, yesterday morning and coordinated the development activities in MraukU, Rakhine State.

First, the Deputy Minister met them at the Department of Rural Development in Sittway. They discussed building Maungshwikan Village in MraukU Township as a Smart Village.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister said that the ministry was implementing smart villages in each region and state in accordance with the 15 principles.

Next, the Deputy Minister met farmers and responsible persons from Ponnagyun, MraukU, and Kyauktaw townships, and discussed the activities to implement collective farming system in these three townships. Later, the Deputy Minister responded to the reports of departmental officials.
