A total of 29.7 kilos of heroin worth over K740 million was seized in Phakant Township of Kachin State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
The anti-drug police squad searched a PAJERO driven by Win Oo accompanied by Ma Mu Dann and Tay Zar Lin in Yumar Village, Phakant Township, Kahin State at 3 pm on 23 May and seized 19.8 kilos of heroin.
According to the investigation, heroin traffickers Tun Tun Htike and Ma Nang Moe Moe Aye were arrested at a restaurant in Yumar village.
Next, 9.9 more kilos of heroin was confiscated from Ma Aye Pang’s house in Seikmu village, Phakant Township at 6 pm on the same day and thus 29.7 kg of heroin in total worth over K740 million was seized from them.
According to the investigation, the seized heroin was transported from Shan State (south) to Kachin State. They are being prosecuted under the law and the perpetrators are still being investigated.
