THE Ministry of Commerce oversees the importation of im­portant medical supplies plus anti-COVID-19 devices critical to the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities, including liquid oxygen and ox­ygen cylinders, through trading posts, international airports and seaports.

On 26 May, two vehicles from two companies transported 10 tonnes of masks via the Chinsh­wehaw trading post.

Officials from relevant de­partments cooperate to facilitate and expedite standard operat­ing procedures for the import process.

It is reported that the Minis­try of Commerce is coordinating with relevant departments and treatment of COVID-19 as well as contact persons for enquires can be reached through the Minis­try’s Website — www.commerce. gov.mm.
