POLICE in Nawnghkio Township seized heroin worth K660 million, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

A joint team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a Wish vehicle driven by Sai Myo Min Tun (alias) Sai Maung Khay (38-year-old) accompanied by Sai Nanda Aung (alias) Nanda (36-yearold) near Oriental Tollgate on the Lashio-Mandalay Road, Nawnghkio Township, Shan State (North) at 10 pm on 1 February.

According to the report, 44 kilogrammes of heroin worth K660 million were confiscated from the vehicle.

The seized heroin was transported from Shan State (North) to Mandalay Region, the investigation stated.

The two are being prosecuted and the perpetrators are still being investigated, according to the police force.
