A combined team consisting of members of the Taninthayi Region Police Force stopped and searched a motorcycle driven by Myo Aye on the Myeik-Taninthayi highway, near Latha Village, Tonbyaw Village-tract, Myeik Township at 3.45 pm on 28 January and 2,000 stimulant tablets were seized.

Similarly, Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a HYUNDAI vehicle driven by Aung Kyaw Tun, accompanied by Thiha Min Zin on the Hopong-Loilem Road, near Loiwoetok Village, Phatyan Village-tract in Hopong Township.

According to the chain, 200,000 tablets of ecstasy were confiscated and Sai Hla Tun (alias) Pho Thee and Myo Min Thu were detained at the 4thmile joint checkpoint near Metaung village, Naunglay Village-tract.

Next, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a motorcycle near Hwaykwe village, Hwaykwe Village-tract, Kengtung Township.

The motorcyclist fled the scene and found five kilogrammes of Ice in his bag. They are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
