A joint venture between the Ministry of Commerce and the Myanmar Petroleum Importers and Distributors Association will sell 12.54 million gallons of diesel at a special price of US$34 million directly from the central bank at a reference exchange rate of US$34 million.
Starting from 11 January, 11 companies have been distributing the gas at a total of 115 petrol stations in various regions and states.
The public will be able to buy diesel at filling stations at special prices at the reference prices issued by the Petroleum Products Supervision and Inspection Department.
The daily price of diesel is available at the Myanmar Petroleum Importers and Distributors Association website www. mpta.org.mm.
If the public is not able to buy diesel at the specified prices at the designated filling stations in each region and state, people can contact 09-664075683, 09-664596327, 09-687635943 and 09- 676320826 as the Work Committee on Ensuring the Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods will be responsible for speeding up the flow of trade and goods.
