A coordination meeting with relevant ministries on the implementation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor was held at 9 am yesterday at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Planning and Finance.

Deputy ministers of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee from relevant ministries, deputy governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar, regional economic ministers from Magway Region, Mandalay Region, Rakhine State, Yangon Region, Shan State and Ayeyawady Region, chairpersons and officials of the China-Myanmar Economic Cooperation Working Group attended the meeting. Chairman of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee, Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein highlighted the reorganization and implementation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee, matters to be implemented in the future, and preparations for holding the working group meeting before the third meeting of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee.

Afterwards, members of the joint committee explained the implementation of working groups formed under the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee. They also discussed the need for coordination and future plans.

On the discussions, the Union minister urged all to take practical steps forward and called for “Early Harvest” projects to be completed on schedule.
