STATE Administration Council Member Daw Aye Nu Sein, accompanied by the Union ministers, the Rakhine state chief minister, the Commander of Western Command, and other departmental officials, attended the opening ceremony of Manaung Island eco-tourism industry near Kaei Village and Manaung Island Resort in Manaung Township yesterday.

First, officials unveiled the signboard of the Manaung Island eco-tourism industry project.

The Rakhine traditional dance troupe performed and the state chief minister and the commander presented the cash awards.

Then, the SAC member and officials viewed the natural beauty of the beach of Kaei Village from the Viewpoint of the Manaung Island Resort.

SAC member Daw Aye Nu Sein and officials cut the ribbon to open the Manaung Island Resort signboard.

In her opening speech, SAC member Daw Aye Nu Sein said the government implemented the Regional Master plan to achieve proportionate development in Kyaukpyu and Yanbye and Manaung while developing the Kyaukpyu SEZ. The place boasts of natural resources and can catch the interest of people. Therefore, Manaung Island will become a well-known destination for its natural beauty.

Then, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min delivered a remark and town elder of Manaung Township and the chairman of the Manaung Public Company Limited expressed words of thanks.

The SAC member and party inspected the Manaung Island Resort compound after the ceremony.
