UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, in his capacity as chairman of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day Organizing Committee, presided over the 2/2022 committee coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

First, the Union minister said the ceremony to be conducted at the parade ground marking the Diamond Jubilee Union Day is an event with the participation of all ethnic people and it is important for national unity. Therefore, the officials need to discuss the respective sectors during the meeting.

Then, committee vice-chairman Union Minister U Min Thein Zan and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Maung Maung Naing made remarks. Committee secretary Deputy Minister U Ye Tint briefed all on the preparations for the ceremony and other attendees clarified their respective work plans. Afterwards, the committee chairman gave proper guidelines and discussed matters related to decorated vehicles of regions/states for the event.
