PDF terrorists detonated the planted homemade mines near the fence of the No 7 Basic Education Primary School in No 7 east ward in Thakayta Township, Yangon Region, at around 12:10 pm on 1 January.

When security personnel arrived at the scene, pieces of PVC pipe were found, and at around 20 feet apart, one homemade mine connected with a keypad phone were found, deactivated and confiscated.

It is reported that the security forces are working to identify and arrest the perpetrators under the law, according to MPF.
