THE Tatmadaw medics, health officials, nurses and health workers of public hospitals, including volunteers, conduct vaccination programmes in regions and states for monks, nuns, people aged over 40, inmates, people with disabilities, ethnic armed groups, patients with chronic diseases, people at IDP camps and above 12-year-old students.

About 1,260 people in Kyaukme and Hsipaw townships of Shan State (North) were inoculated against COVID-19 yesterday while 7,035 people in seven townships of Shan State (East), 26,758 monks and people in 15 townships of Mon and Kayin states, 3,215 people in three townships of Yangon Region, 53,340 people in 26 townships of Ayeyawady Region, 15,007 people in six townships of Rakhine State, 640 people in Kalay and Taze townships of Sagaing Region, 78,200 people in seven districts of Mandalay Region and 560 people in Htantabin Township of Bago Region.

Similarly, 310 students in three townships of Shan State (East) received their vaccines, while 6,899 students in 26 townships of Ayeyawady Region, 1,714 students in Maungtaw Township of Rakhine State and Paletwa Township of Chin State. The respective region commanders and officials inspected the immunization drive and instructed where necessary.
