MYANMAR nationals returned from abroad are being welcomed at various land borders this month.

On 5 November, a total of 33 returnees – 18 males and 15 females came back home through Chinshwehaw, northern Shan State. Similarly, 45 returnees, including 32 males and 13 females, came back home through Laukkai, Shan State.

Healthcare officials from relevant public hospitals and members of the Tatmadaw Medical Corps conducted COVID-19 tests and provided quarantine entry documents for the returnees.

Next, instructions of the Ministry of Health were explained systematically and departmental officials provided necessary assistance. The township administration then escorted them to their respective places in passenger vehicles, and the infected people were kept in separate places to facilitate the necessary medical and administrative matters, officials said.
