PEOPLE aged 45 and above who are taking shelters at Sin Tat Maw Village IDP Camp and Anouk Ye IDP Camp in Ale Phayonekar Island, Sin Tat Maw Village Tract, Pauktaw Township, Rakhine State received Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine for the second time yesterday.

 

Before the vaccination, healthcare staff and officials made records for the vaccinated people. Next, volunteers and healthcare workers measured the body temperature, blood pressure and oxygen level before the vaccination.

 

Vaccines were given systematically to the IDPs, and only those with normal conditions are vaccinated.

 

“This is my second dose of vaccine. This vaccine gives me some protection. Special thanks to the healthcare officials who came to the Sin Tat Maw IDPs camp and provided the injections and heads of state. I am just happy”, said Religious Teacher U Da Hora Mauk from Sin Tat Maw IDPs camp in Pauktaw Township.

 

“With this vaccine, even if infected, there is no risk to life. We have heard that there are many benefits to getting this vaccine, so we urge our campers to get vaccinated.

 

Special thanks to the government for providing vaccinations to our camps”, said U Kar Lu, a local people.

 

A total of 374 men and women were vaccinated at the Sin Tat Maw Village IDP Camp and a total of 266 men and women were vaccinated at the Anouk Ye IDP Camp.

 

Vaccines were already given at Sin Tat Maw Village IDP Camp and Anouk Ye IDP Camp and a vaccination programme will be conducted next at the Kyein Ni Pyin IPD Camp, Nget Chaung (1) IDP camp, and five designated places at Nhet Chaung (2) IDP camp respectively, officials said.
