MYANMAR officials warmly welcomed a total of 200 returnees (121 men and 79 women) transferred from Laos at Wang Pong port in Tachilek yesterday afternoon.
The Tachilek District COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment Committee tested the returnees for COVID-19 virus with RDT test kits and all of them were reportedly tested negative. They will be quarantined in Wan Long Quarantine Centre and will be tested again on the third day.
The returnees who will be tested negative on the third day will be transported to respective regions and states, it is reported.
Myanmar has been receiving returnees from Laos since 30 July and yesterday was the 12th time acceptance of returnees. As of yesterday, a total of 3,271 Myanmar nationals have returned home from Laos.
