MYANMAR’S regular export value reached US$642.13 million for May during the financial year 2020-2021.
Next, the value of border exports was US$367.05 million and the total value of exports was US$1,009.18 million.
Meanwhile, the value of Myanmar’s export exceeds US$600 mln in May regular imports was standing at US$1,031.45 million. The value of border imports was pegged at US$234.16 million and the total value of imports has registered at US$1,265.61 million.
Therefore, the total trade volume for May was US$2,274.79 million and the total trade deficit stood at US$256.43 million.
From October to May during the budget year 2020-2021, the value of Myanmar’s regular exports was US$5177.47 million. Border exports were valued at US$4,649.64 million and the total value of exports reached US$9,827.11 million.
Regular imports have registered at US$8,242.48 million. Border imports were pegged at US$1,880.38 million and the total imports were valued at US$10,122.86 million.
Therefore, the total trade volume has registered at US$1,999.97 million and the trade deficit was valued at US$295.75 million from October to May during the financial year 2020-2021, according to the Central Statistics Office’s monthly report on exports and imports.
