Deputy Minister for Construction U Myo Myint inspected the installation of solar lighting systems at public facilities in Falam Township, Chin State, yesterday and instructed officials to maintain and use the systems effectively.

Under the Chin State government’s plan, solar systems are being installed at the temporary people’s hospital, General Administration Department office, Myanma Economic Bank and Township Education Office. The deputy minister also inspected solar street lights in Falam town and urged officials to install lights at priority areas and public service offices.

In Tiddim and Tonzang townships, diesel generators are being used to supply electricity to residents and government offices, with key facilities receiving a 24-hour power supply. The Chin State government is continuing efforts to expand solar lighting and improve electricity access in the region.
