U Thit Linn Ohn, Chairman of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, along with the Commission Member U Win Hlaing Oo and Commission Member Dr Swe Swe Aung held a meeting via online platform with High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Mrs Yana Lantratova at 2:30 pm on 10 July 2026 to discuss matters relating to cooperation between the two institutions in the field of human rights.

During the meeting, discussions focused on matters relating to cooperation and enhancing engagement between the two institutions for the promotion and protection of human rights. The meeting was concluded at 3:15 pm.

The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission and the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in 2025, intending to strengthen cooperation in the human rights field, exchange experiences, knowledge, and best practices, and facilitate collaboration in mutually beneficial areas for both institutions.
