As PyinOoLwin is a hill station where local and foreign travellers visit, overall sectors of the town are being upgraded in accord with the guidance of the President to expand urban development tasks meeting the international standard. Yesterday, five major upgraded roads, namely Nawarat, Theingi, Pyithaya, Yadana and Marlar Yuzana roads, opened in Ward 8 and Ward 10 of Padetha satellite town of PyinOoLwin under the 100-day plan of the new government, which had been constructed since the establishment of Padetha satellite town.

Although these roads were originally built as two-lane roads, they were not adequate for two vehicles to pass each other. Hence, five roads in 32,813 feet in total length were upgraded to 24 feet wide ones. In accord with the motto that all towns and villages must be modernized as quickly as possible, the PyinOoLwin Township Development Committee is carrying out the upgrade of urban roads, meeting the town’s characteristics under the instructions of superiors. From 2021 to 2026, the committee upgraded 16 asphalt roads in 12 miles and four furlongs in total length. In line with the guidance of the President, comprehensive urban development and expansion projects are being implemented to upgrade PyinOoLwin into an international-standard city, and residents of PyinOoLwin praise the efforts of the local authorities.
