The honorary dinner and closing ceremony for the 2026 Inlay Khaungdaing Outstanding Students’ Camp took place on the lawn of the Khaungdaing Inlay Outstanding Students’ Camp in Nyaungshwe Township, Kalaw District, at 6 pm yesterday.

Attendees included Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung, the Shan State Chief Minister, the Speaker of the Shan State Hluttaw, the Deputy Commander of the Eastern Command, the Deputy Minister for Education, state ministers, ethnic affairs ministers, and Grade-10 male and female outstanding students.

During the ceremony, the Shan State Chief Minister delivered an address and presented crystal trophies and traditional ethnic costumes as commemorative gifts to the outstanding students and officials.

Afterwards, a student on behalf of all outstanding students spoke words of thanks. Students from No 2 Basic Education High School in Nyaungshwe gave entertainment performances, while outstanding students from Kachin State performed the Jinghpaw dance. Outstanding students from Shan State also presented the first-prize-winning song from the 2019 Taunggyi Tazaungdine Hot-air Balloon Festival song contest. Local vocalists also entertained guests with songs.
