A ceremony to present awards and certificates of honour to artistes who performed in the commemorative drama The Arduous Journey Across the Sea of Clouds, produced in honour of the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, as well as to literary scholars who won awards for commemorative military march songs, soldiers’ songs, poems, and short stories, was held yesterday evening at the Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw.
The event was attended by General Kyaw Swa Lin, Member of the State Security and Peace Commission and Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air), senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Command, responsible officials, and guests.
General Kyaw Swa Lin delivered an opening address. Afterwards, Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Zaw Hein, Chief of Armed Forces Training Maj-Gen Pyae Sone Lin, Commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Kyi Thaik, and Director of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare Brig-Gen Ye Yint Aung presented awards and certificates of honour.
Following the ceremony, General Kyaw Swa Lin hosted a tea reception for the attendees and warmly greeted them.
