As a gesture of honouring the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day 2026, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted a dinner at the square of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.

On the occasion, fireworks were launched from the Armed Forces Day Parade Ground and the Bayintnaung Villa to hail the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day.

The Senior General and his wife cordially greeted Commission Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Commission Secretary Commander-in-Chief (Army) General Ye Win Oo and his wife, Commission Member Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin and his wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win and his wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and his wife, commission members, Union-level dignitaries and their wives, families of the Thirty Comrades, families of retired Commanders-in-Chief of Defence Services, retired senior Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) officers, Independence Mawgun award winners, advisors, deputy ministers, retired Tatmadaw member ambassadors, military attaches and officials of foreign military attache offices, representatives of ethnic armed organizations which signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, chairpersons and officials from political parties, families and relatives of Aung San Thuriya title winners, officers, other ranks and families who secured the Thiha Thura title, Thura title and Tatmadaw gallantry title winners and gallantry medal winners, members of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization, Myanmar Police Force, Myanmar Fire Brigade and Myanmar Red Cross Society, chairpersons and officials of the organizations, artistes who participated in the dramas honouring the Armed Forces Day, winners in the military and marching song contests and poem, short story and novel contests, members of University Training Corps, teachers and students from the University for the Development of the National Races, and guests.

The Senior General and his wife had dinner together with attendees.

Before and during the dinners, the Myawady Entertainment Troupe presented song entertainment.

After the dinner, the Senior General and his wife cordially greeted the attendees, watched the launching of fireworks and left the ceremony.

The Vice-Senior General and attendees enjoyed the songs, dances and choral dances performed by the Myawady Entertainment Troupe at the Thabin Hall of Zeyathiri Beikman.

The Vice-Senior General presented the flower basket to male and female Tatmadaw members and cordially greeted the attendees.

As a guesture of hailing the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, the entrance road to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) was decorated with figures of naval vessels, aircraft, helicopters and machinery, and three kings who established first, second and third Myanmar empires with lighting.
