Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein inspected students sitting examinations at the Naypyitaw State Academy on the morning of 16 March, accompanied by Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint, the academy’s rector, and other officials.
The Union minister observed students sitting their first-semester examinations for the 2025-2026 academic year. This included first- to fifth-year (Law) students, as well as those enrolled in honours and postgraduate programmes.
The first-semester examinations at the Naypyitaw State Academy are being held from 16 to 24 March. During the inspection, the Union minister instructed officials to ensure that students could sit their examinations in a calm environment and that all administrative arrangements proceeded smoothly.
The Union minister later visited the examination centre at Basic Education High School No 6 in Zabuthiri Township to observe students taking their matriculation examinations.
In the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, a total of 14,914 candidates registered for the 2026 matriculation examination across 49 centres. On the sixth day, 14,085 students sat the Biology and Economics papers.
