On behalf of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, signed the condolence book at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Yangon yesterday for the passing of Mr Try Sutrisno, the Sixth Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia, who served from 1993 to 1998, on 2 March 2026.

Upon arrival, the Union minister met the Charge d’Affaires ad interim and officials of the Embassy of Indonesia at the Embassy Guest Hall, expressed his condolences, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on the passing of Mr Try Sutrisno, former Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia, and signed the condolence book.

Mr Try Sutrisno, former Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia, served as the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army from 1986 to 1988, and as the Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia from 1988 to 1993. He passed away at the age of 90.
