THE National League of Democracy contributed K300 million to the National-Level Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19 yesterday.

Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htwe received the cash donation presented by U Win Htein, the member of party’s leading body, and Dr Myo Nyunt, the member of Central Executive Committee of the party.

At the ceremony, U Win Htein explained the donation. Union Minister Dr Myint Htwe, in his capacity as the Secretary (2) of the committee, expressed thanks for the cash contribution and requested for the participation of the elected Hluttaw representatives from NLD in the fight against COVID-19 as the ministry is cooperating with relevant ministries and organizations in health awareness campaigns for the public and immediate recovery in economic, education and social sectors after effective containment measures against the pandemic.
