President of the Republic of Belarus, Mr Aleksandr Lukashenko and his entourage, who paid an official goodwill visit to Myanmar at the invitation of Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace Commission Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, left the Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport for the Republic of Belarus yesterday evening.
They were seen off at the airport by SSPC Member and Prime Minister U Nyo Saw, Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Mya Tun Oo, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the deputy minister for Foreign Affairs, the Belarusian Ambassador to Myanmar, the Myanmar Ambassador to Belarus, and officials.
The Guard of Honour saluted the Belarusian President and party along the red carpet.
Ethnic cultural troupes and dance troupes performed traditional dances while students waved off the guests with miniature flags of both countries. Commemorative flags of both countries were hoisted along both sides of the road. The special aircraft carrying the high-level delegation led by the Belarusian President was flanked by three Su-30 SME multipurpose jet fighters from Myanmar’s Tatmadaw (Air) to the end of Myanmar’s air territory.
