THE 60th Myanma Gems Emporium for 2025 continued into its seventh day yesterday morning at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. From the morning session onwards, domestic and foreign gem merchants observed and inspected the jade lots displayed at designated areas both inside and outside the hall.

According to the announcement, a total of 640 jade lots out of 900 lots from Groups A and B were sold to domestic and foreign gem merchants through the open tender system at yesterday’s emporium. In addition, jade lots numbered from 2,901 to 3,650, which will be sold on the eighth day, were examined by merchants, and their price-offer forms were submitted to the respective tender boxes. Officials opened and reviewed the tender forms yesterday afternoon, and the results for the lots sold will be announced today.

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi attended the event on its seventh day to show his support.

A total of 5,085 jade lots from Groups A, B and C are being sold through the open tender system on a day-to-day basis. A total of 754 jade lots out of 1,000 were sold on the fifth day, 716 jade lots out of 1,000 were sold on the sixth day and 640 jade lots out of 900 were sold on the seventh day. The remaining jade lots will continue to be sold to domestic and foreign merchants at the Maniyadana Jade Hall until 26 November.

The foreign merchants can make payment for jade lots from group C with US dollars, euros, yuan, baht and other currencies allowed by the Central Bank of Myanmar, and the local merchants can make payment with Myanmar currency.
