A ceremony to launch the training course on polling station officers and deputy officers, as well as ward/village-tract election subcommission members, took place at the hall of Mongphyat Township General Administration Department, Shan State (East), on 19 November.

On the occasion, members of the Union Election Commission U Myint Oo and U Myo Maung explained plans to hold the 2025 election in phases, guidelines, duties and authority for the polling station officers and deputy officers, duties and functions of voting list inspectors, the voting machine handlers, use of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM), provisions of the Hluttaw election rules and effort for holding the election successfully.

The training course is being attended by 124 trainees. It will last from 19 to 21 November. The ceremony was also attended by local authorities from Mongphyat and Mongyawng townships, departmental officials, chairmen and officials from Tachilek District and Mongphyat Township Election Subcommissions.
