In Myawady Township, Myawady District, Kayin State, authorities took action in 256 cases under the Counter-Terrorism Law, 347 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and 86 cases under the Arms Act between 2021 and 31 October 2025.

Investigations found that the seized weapons, related materials and narcotics had been transported and sold by Thai traders via border gates that had been opened illegally along the supply routes of armed groups.

According to the Myawady District Police Force, from 2021 to 31 October 2025, a total of 325 cases involving the seizure of WY (methamphetamine) tablets amounting to 2,578,961.5 tablets were recorded. There were nine cases involving ICE (crystal methamphetamine) with a total weight of 4,908.9471 grammes, seven cases involving heroin weighing 281,304 grammes, 19 cases involving ketamine weighing 3,573.3225 grammes, and 31 cases involving dried cannabis weighing 18,551.7171 grammes. Moreover, 972 ecstasy tablets, two cases involving Tramadol capsules (totalling 60,030 capsules), and five cases involving ammonium nitrate weighing approximately 11,825.159 kilogrammes were also seized.

Seizures of firearms, ammunition, and related materials included forty-eight 9 mm pistols, twelve AK-47 rifles, six M-4 carbines, two nine-round pistols, one AK-15 rifle, three 12-bore shotguns, two guns firing 12-bore cartridges, two revolvers, one AK rifle using 9 mm bullets, one M-16 rifle, one .303 rifle, one .30 carbine, one handmade pistol, one handmade machine gun, and one handmade RPG.

In addition, the seized ammunition included sixty .30 carbine rounds, seventeen 5.56 mm rounds, twenty-nine nine-round bullets, eighty-seven AK-15 rounds, sixty-four AK-47 rounds, 2,082 9 mm (pistol) bullets, 217 .380 rounds, 750 .357 rounds, 750 .38 rounds, fifty 7.65 mm rounds, 500 M-16 rounds, two 73-calibre rounds, 200 M-4 rounds, 100 MK-12 rounds, 200 .357 rounds, two .38 special rounds, and two 7.62 mm rounds.

Authorities also seized three RPG grenades, seventeen homemade hand grenades, two improvised mines, five 40 mm rockets, five rifle grenades, twenty 40 mm shells, 300 detonators, and eight hand grenades. In addition, two magazines for nine-round firearms, seven magazines for AK-15 rifles, thirteen magazines for AK-47 rifles, fifty-two 9 mm (pistol) magazines, nine 12-volt gun magazines, seventeen M-4 magazines, seventeen assorted magazines, one .380 magazine, one M-12 magazine, and four MA magazines were also seized.
