THE 26th Traditional Myanmar Cultural Performing Arts Competition (Central) for 2025 took place at the designated venues in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday.
In the Mini Theatre of the National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw), contestants from regions and states participated in the higher education men’s harp contest, the basic education (aged 10-15) boys’ contest and the basic education (aged 15- 20) girls’ contest.
The contestants from regions and states took part in the basic education (aged 10- 15) girl’s and (aged 15-20) boys’ and girls’ guitar contest, high education women’s and men’s guitar contest, at the Wunzin Minyaza Hall of the National Library (Nay Pyi Taw).
The piano contest was participated in by students from higher education (women’s) and basic education (aged 15- 20) boys’ and girls’ contests at the Yinkyayhmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
At Hsinbyushin Hall, youths competed in higher education men’s and basic education (aged 15-20) boys’ Ozi contests respectively.
At noon, the contestants participated in basic education (aged 15-20) boys’ and higher education men’s Dobat contests.
The Pobbathiri Hall hosted a mandolin contest, including basic education level (aged 10- 15 and 15-20) male and female contests and higher education level men’s and women’s contests.
Union-level dignitaries, union ministers, deputy ministers, Senior Tatmadaw officers, departmental personnel, staff, and families of Tatmadaw and students attended yesterday’s competitions to observe and support the contestants.
The competitions of the Traditional Myanmar Cultural Performing Arts Competition (Central) were successfully concluded, and the award ceremony and dinner event will be on 13 October.
