THE Russia-Myanmar-Belarus trilateral concert was staged at the National Theatre on Myoma Kyaung Road in Dagon Township of Yangon yesterday evening.
A video clip on the cultural exchange for friendship was screened. Vice-Chair Mr Alexander Ostrovskiy of the Russia-Myanmar Friendship Association extended greetings and introduced artistes from Belarus to the audience.
The Belarusian artistes presented the song on Two Rus’s-Belarus and Russia, Two Sisters, and the Belarus-Myanmar song, while artistes from the National University of Arts and Culture performed the marionette entertainment and the song Bells and the song I’ll Say Goodbye with a Glass of Vodka. Vocalist Saw Daniel from the MRTV sang the songs Exchange of Smiles and My Eyes. A singer from the Russian Embassy presented the Lebedushka dance, whereas the Myawady Entertainment Troupe entertained with the songs Myanmar’s Scenes and Myanmar’s Soul, Tulips, and Red Sloboda.
Moreover, artistes from the National University of Arts and Culture presented dances portraying six eras, the song Oh, My Scythe, and the Kalinka dance. Vocalist La Wun May from MRTV sang the songs The River, The Myanmar, and The Thingyan. The Myawady Entertainment Troupe performed the song May the Union Remain Forever, while vocalists from the Russian Embassy presented the songs Zhavoronok, Bagan, We Are Together, Myanmar, Mother Earth, Katusha, The Motherland, All the Flowers and I Want to Wish with performances.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein presented the flower basket to the artistes.
The leader of the Belarus team presented gifts to the Union minister, the chief minister and Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay.
The concert was also attended by regional ministers, departmental officials, artistes from the National University of Arts and Culture, teachers and students, as well as enthusiasts.
