Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received the Belarusian delegation led by Belarusian musician-cum-vocalist Mr Vladimir Sukolinsky and Vice-Chair of the Myanmar-Russia Friendship Association Mr Alexander Ostrovsky in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, the Union minister said Belarus is a good friend of Myanmar, and since the two countries have a friendly and close relationship, holding a musical concert like this will serve as a bridge to further strengthen the friendship between the peoples of both nations. He added that the performances by the troupe are being fully covered and widely broadcast by MRTV news, and that the Myanmar-Russia-Belarus joint musical performances will continue to be held in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw.
Mr Alexander and Mr Vladimir expressed gratitude, highlighting Myanmar’s own culture and the hospitality of the Myanmar People.
The music band performed in Mandalay and PyinOoLwin, and the Myanmar-Russia-Belarus joint concerts will be in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw.
