The 26th Traditional Myanmar Cultural Performing Arts Competition (Central) for 2025 took place at the designated venues in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday.
In the Mini Theatre of the National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw), contestants from regions and states participated in the higher education men’s classical song contest and the basic education (aged 10-15) girls’ contest.

Students from regions and states took part in the basic education (aged 15-20) girls’ and (aged 10-15) girls’ old song/modern song contest at the Wunzin Minyaza Hall of the National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw).

At Hsinbyushin Hall, youths from basic education (aged 15-20) boys’ and (aged 10-15) boys’ dancing contests and the higher education women’s dancing contest respectively.

The song composing contest was participated in by students from higher education (men’s and women’s) and basic education (aged 15-20) boys’ and girls’ contests at Yinkyayhmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.

At the training theatre of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, contestants from regions and states competed in the basic education (aged 10-15) boys’ and girls’ violin contest and the basic education (aged 15-20) girls’ violin contest, respectively.
The orchestra solo contest was held at Pobbathiri Hall with the participation of contestants at the basic education (aged 10-15) boys’ level and the higher education men’s and women’s levels, respectively.

Union-level dignitaries, Union ministers, officials from ministries and organizations enjoyed the competitions of contestants in the relevant events.

The Performing Arts Competition (Central) comprises 1,661 contestants at the basic education (aged 10-15) and (aged 15-20) levels and higher education level under the systematic assessment of 107 panels of judges.
